About the ride (apox. 4 Hours)
Your ride will begin with your pick up by your English-speaking driver from your accommodation in Athens. Throughout the day your driver will assist you enjoy your trip sharing with you his local knowledge as well as personal recommendations in each area.
After a quick introduction, you will head towards the Cape Sounion. approximately 65 kilometers away from the center of Athens, On the way, you will pass through the beautiful Athenian Riviera, wonderful coastline and plenty of beaches and luxurious hotels.The cosmopolitan areas of Glyfada, Voula and Vouliagmeni are all widely known for its bars, cafes and seaside restaurants which attract people all over Athens. During your trip you will also have the opportunity to visit Vouliagmeni Lake a must-see geological phenomenon and natural spa by the sea.
Then you will end up to the majestic Temple of Poseidon. The temple was dedicated to the God of the sea, Poseidon, and was considered a sacred place of worship. Standing on the highest point of the rock and surrounded by 3 seas, it was an important maritime navigational point as well as a sign of hope for sailors returning to Athens after many days at sea. The Cape except for the monumental remains of the temple also offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Aegean sea and nearby islands.
After visiting and exploring the Temple of Poseidon, your driver will take you to a traditional Greek tavern by the sea to have lunch according to your preferences (fish,meat vegetarian, vegan etc) while enjoying the view and cool breeze of Aegean in an authentic experience.
Your tour will end returning to Athens along the same relaxing coastal route, and your driver for the day will drive you back at your hotel or apartment.

• Your drivers will always drop you off and pick you up the closest to your stop respecting the local traffic code and rules.

The only thing you have to do is to inform the driver about your choice and set an overall time limit for your trip. Because of this and its rich content in hydrogen sulphide, the lake functions as a spa since the end of the 19th century.
