About the ride (Aprox. 10 Hours)
Your ride will begin with your pick up by your English-speaking driver from your accommodation in Athens. Throughout the day your driver will assist you enjoy your trip sharing with you his local knowledge as well as personal recommendations in each area.
A 4-hour drive through the stunning Greek lands you will have the opportunity to see the statue of Leonidas of Sparta and the 300 in Thermopyles before reaching the town of Kalambaka.
Arriving in Kalambaka you will visit two of the fantastic monasteries that are perched high upon the rocks of Meteora where the breathtaking scenery will takeyou back in time.. Although there are 30 monasteries. only the 7 of them are currently active, and are declared as World Heritage Monuments by UNESCO.
After exploring the astonishing monasteries, you will make your way back to the town of Kalambaka, In Kalambaka you may enjoy an authentic Greek lunch having a full view of the majestic Meteora rock formations. The gigantic, black sandstone rocks rise up out reaching the sky which is a perfect place to take once in a lifetime photos and admire the extraordinary natural beauty of Greece.
The next stop will be the Cavern of Theopetra, some of the rarest archeological monuments all over the world. It has been has been dated in the Upper Cretacious period (137.000.000 - 65.000.000 years before present).
After tasting the local delicacies, you will return to Athens along the same relaxing route, and your driver for the day will drive you back at your hotel or apartment in the city of Athens.

• Your drivers will gladly provide you with their local knowledge and personal tips and recommendations during the trip. But as your safety is top priority, please refrain from distracting the driver during demanding and hard driving conditions
• Your drivers will always drop you off and pick you up the closest to your stop respecting the local traffic code and rules.
